About Me

My photo
Michelle In Turn
My name is Michelle, and when I started this blog I was at the beginning of a career change. After a successful decade-long career as a middle school English teacher, I decided to shift lanes and move into the world of publishing at the start of an industry-wide paradigm shift. Career number two had humble beginnings, where I spent about six months working as a bookseller in the children's and teen departments of my local Barnes & Noble. Then I scored a fabulous internship at a Literary Agency, which was the inspiration for this blog. Now I'm working as an independent contractor and freelance editor in NYC. I was born and raised on Long Island, in New York, and now live in Queens.
